A whimsical New England garden full of inspiration from nature
Yesterday we explored the wild side of Vermont with Sheila , today she ’s share what fountain looks like in her garden .
I garden in northern Vermont , Zones 4–5 and recently took these photos . I have also sent in photos in the past.(To see how Sheila ’s garden has germinate over the years , check out her previous submission : Sheila ’s Vermont GardenandRevisiting Sheila ’s Vermont Garden . )
Our slight pond has royal and pinkphloxbordering the peastonegravel track . There are also pot pouf andviolas , corkscrew hazel(Corylusavellana ‘ Contorta ’ , Zones 4–8),Japanese maple , and scatter tulips , hostas , and sedum .

Hostaand sedum are burst from the ground underneath aweigela . A true cedar is just visible in the background .
This path leads to the back of the garden . This pic shows some pot genus Viola , globe arborvitae , and ‘ Gold Mop ’ false cypress(Chamaecyparispisifera ‘ Golden Mop ’ , Zones 4–8),and it features a nice view of the bottle screw hazelnut tree .
Our 2d pond and secluded patio.(Jealous editor program here ! What a lush blot to have lunch or just sip a cup of coffee . Sheila created a space that capture the untamed , organic stunner of nature but still kept it tame enough that human guest can use and enjoy the blank space .

On the side of the shed is a pot of queen andforget - me - nots(Myosotis sylvatica , Zones 5–9).Thetulipsin the foreground are almost done . Phlox and astilbe are egress along with apeony .
View down to the bottom of the garden from the shade garden with ferns andSolomon ’s seal(Polygonatum humile , zone 5–8 )
Our more shaded side of the garden includes a capricious deep-set sink for a birdbath . A globe dwarf blue spruce(Piceapungens ‘ Globosa ’ , Zones 3–7)is in the forefront with a yew . A mix of lilies , peonies , rose , andpulmonariapresent adorable contrast foliage and color .

This wide horizon shows off thepaths . We have a mixture of stone , gravel , and supergrass path that seem to work well together .
Along this side track behind my shed are a Japanese maple , white birch , ‘ Gold Mop ’ assumed cypress tree , and a pocket-sized spruce , I call up .
I love the slightly wild aspect of this scene . Two Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree stumps cut measuredly at those heights form an entrance in either direction . leech heartand clematis will impart colour soon . ( Ditto , Sheila ! Where some people might appear at a tree diagram stump and see an eyesore wasting place , Sheila saw the opportunity to create something unequaled and eye - grab . Those incredible mushrooms are n’t hurting either ! )

Thanks for sharing Sheila . I hope to see exposure from your garden again soon !
