My name is Eddie Walker . I commence back in 2004 with a savorless art object of acres that was used for agriculture . I live in South Mills , North Carolina , just 45 minutes inland from the Outer Banks and in Zone 8a most years . My passion is garden . I ’ve always have intercourse the warm weather and tropic designs that I had seen in Florida and farther in the south , and I am the possessor of Walker ’s Palms and Desert Plants . There has always been skepticism about grow decoration trees this far Frederick North , but with the right selection of species it is potential to have that tropical - looking landscape painting in your own backyard ! horticulture can be relaxing to the creative thinker and soul and has been very helpful to me .
A formal line of Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree leads up to the family , not hinting at the tropical splendors waiting ahead .
A hardy , lovely looking decoration tree diagram . This is Taiwanese windmill palm ( Trachycarpus fortunei , zone 8–11 ) and works wonderfully to wreak a tropical expression to nontropical climates .

Despite the tropic look , it does get cold and snowy in this garden ! But the palms can pull round anyway .
A beautiful syndicate surrounded by lavish tropic plantings .
The bold farewell of fatsia ( Fatsia japonica , Zones 8–10 ) contrast with the finer textured foliage around it .

A beautiful water feature flank by two enormous sego palms ( Cycas revoluta , zone 8–11 ) . Sego palms are n’t true thenar but are really a kind of cycad , an ancient group of plant . Their bold , dark green , frondlike leaves look grand here .
When you make a tropic garden , you need a tiki - themed seating arena !
A spacious survey of the garden , exhibit the copious diversity of plants and places to relax and enjoy the beauty . Toward the kernel of the shot , notice a huge agave plant life sending up a genuinely enormous flower spike heel . Agaves die after unfolding , but what a dramatic way to go !

What a magical spot . Who would n’t require to dwell back in that hillock , look out at the garden , and listen to the water feature ?
