Nong’s garden in Ohio, Day 1

Today ’s photos are from Nongnuch Inpanbutr in Ohio . Nong says,“We live in Columbus , Ohio , across from the Scioto River and parkland with a prominent view , every day and every season demonstrate a dissimilar feel . This garden is an evolve garden – always in the unconscious process , just like LIFE itself – no unvarying .

“ The goal of our garden is to make a position to inspire peacefulness and containment , to reflect and speculate , and a place for gatherings with booster and household , and to serve our lifestyle . I fuck to take the air around in the garden too soon in the dawn or just before sunset , and just look at the plants and everything . I take a amble in my garden in the morning with coffee before locomote to work , and make one one shot the first matter when I get home from study , even before going into the house , all twelvemonth round ( with snow and rain – mass driving by would see me with my umbrella inspecting my garden and probably conceive that I AM CRAZY . ) We build a walk path to attend that habit ( to saunter without getting mud on our shoe ) .

“ When the weather is strong enough , we have breakfast in the roseate garden . We entertain a mass at our patio with views of the river and different reflections of the water depending on the weather and time of the day ( funny - my neighbor distinguish me one of her friends asked her if my house is a night club , hearing medicine and seeing lights and people at the terrace all the fourth dimension ) .

“ We would describe our garden as everything blending together to serve the center and lifestyle . The master goal is to have set of perennials blooming all time of year ( March to November ) . We trip a lot , so the garden is the result of bits and pieces inspired by many places around the earth . Starting as a Zen garden , then tally / morphed with English Garden ( roses – more than 36 bushes ) , Monet ’s influence ( nosepiece , sword lily , tulips , maple ) , Keukenhof ( tulips + other bound bulbs ) , and major part is lifestyle influence , and also eco / ego sufficient garden .

“ We practice very little fertilizer or chemical substance . kid like our garden a fate . The front yard is principally peak and trees for the look , and the back K is an eatable garden with yield tree and vegetables . This yr in the fruit garden in the backyard I am planting arctic kiwis , grapeshot , and more apples .

“ I once record this quote ( forgot the source ) , and it is so true about my garden : ‘ It is good to have an end to journey toward , but it is the journeying that matters in the death . ' ”

Wow , Nong , your garden is so ALIVE ! That jumbo Easter egg hunt club must have been so much merriment for the kids !
