I visit a caboodle of gardens in New Jersey a couple of week ago , and one of the most surprising wasColonial Park Gardensin Somerset . It was blaze sun by the time I got there , so these pic are n’t the greatest , but WOW , the Russian salvia ( Perovskia atriplicifolia , USDA Hardiness zone 6 - 9 ) was kicking ! This garden relies on it to a great extent , and successfully . train it out in a variety of preferences .
I ’ve talk to a lot of people who have trouble turn Russian salvia , say that it does n’t come back faithfully for them twelvemonth to year . I ’ve also talked to a couple of people who say that the key is to wait until spring to bring down back the deadened foliage . What ’s your experience ? ? Comment below …
