Revisiting a beautiful northern garden

We ’re back today jaw with Susie Zimmerman in her beautiful Fairbanks , Alaska , garden .

The garden beds are planted densely and are overrun with flowers . Just because you garden in acold climatedoesn’t intend you ca n’t have unbelievable garden .

Susie name her husband “ the Undergardener . He ’s put up a pot of hard work in the creation of these beautiful garden .

And wow , has that knockout body of work paid off ! Flowers are everywhere . In special , notice the towering blue spires of delphinium ( Delphiniumelatum , Zones 3–7 ) you may see in the back of the bed . It is possible to grow delphiniums in many climates , but they contact their peak in the very coolheaded summers in places like Alaska .

Moose visiting in the wintertime are browsing for something to eat . They are just as annoying as deer , only bigger !

Arock gardenis full of interesting plants as well as interesting rocks .

shadowiness of white , silver , and pink make a subdued , amatory cloud of bloom .

Russianarborvitae(Microbiotadecussata , Zones 3–7 ) get onto beautifully over the boundary of thepond . This low - growingconiferis native to Siberia and so takes the Alaskan winters in stride .

lily ( Liliumhybrid , Zones 3–8 ) in the most romantic potential tint of soft garden pink .
