EP . 8 : THE STABLE VEGETARIAN

In this episode , Madeline and Jeff call in Karl Cook of Pomponio Ranch , in Rancho Santa Fe , California . Karl has transformed the traditional landscape he inherit on his property to one filled with comestible — so many edibles , that his goal is to fudge something different every day . Karl has focalize on creating nutrient - rich soil and share tips on how he has built up the soil in his garden .
Karl is a professional horse passenger and show jumper and is in good forcible shape . This workweek , Madeline and Jeff take a misstep to Northern California and chew the fat the big saffron farm in North America . Farm owner Melinda and Simon require a variety of life and started the farm without any farming background , learning as they choke along . They ’ve added a market garden and a flower garden to create a ambrosia and pollen - rich environs for pollinator . In this instalment they portion out how they conquered a field full of weeds , as well as how they keep from " feeding the gophers . "
With no punishing machinery on the farm , one can only imagine the amount of manual labor that it takes to give care for the farm .
