“ I do n’t really like the traditional colors for pretty much any vacation , so I like to go beyond the unripe and red , ” tell the interior couturier , who shares her profuse holiday decorating — including trees for holidays throughout the year — onInstagram .

Monica transformed her brass light fixture into a holiday version of a crystal chandelier shimmering withShiny Brite ornamentsand hot pink satin bows . The holiday touches make the fixture an inst hit — and focal point — as you walk through the door . She uses upholstery train of thought to bind the ornamentation to the pendent because it ’s substantial but thin enough to not unhinge from the display .
One of Monica ’s collections is her ceramic Christmas trees . Some are vintage slice found at thrift and antique stores ; others are new from Walmart or Target . “ It ’s always hard for me to put them away , ” she says , so the pinkish ones bide out a little longer and make the changeover into her Valentine ’s interior decoration .
Monica uses pink and light - blue ornamentation todecorate the white treesin her dining room . She used to trade vintage ornaments on Etsy and has been collecting Shiny Brites and age-old pieces from thrift store and landed estate sales agreement for years .
