Barry Severn grows many rattling plants in his garden outside Toronto . We ’ve shoot the breeze his garden before ( Last Year in Barry ’s Garden ) , and it is always a pleasance to see what he ’s tame .
The littleannualPhacelia campanulariais native to California but thrives in gardens in many mood .
I love the way Barry has zoomed in to the detail of the stamens of thisClematis‘Jackmanii ’ ( Zones 4–8 ) . Many flower reward a closer feeling to enjoy their details .

After its brilliantearly summerbloom , Oriental poppy ( Papaverorientale , Zones 3–7 ) goes altogether dormant , disappear belowground until the next saltation .
Pyracantha have the rough-cut name of firethorn for their bright red berries produced later in the year , but thespring bloomis quite beautiful too . This is aPyracanthacoccinea(Zones 6–9 ) in natural spring bloom .
Rosa‘Stanwell Perpetual ’ is a beautifulold rose , usher in in the 1800s , that , as the name advise , reblooms after the initial fountain flush . That is normal for more mod blush wine but was quite a new trait when this wax was breed .

Therock gardenincludes these plants , clockwise from upper left : Alyssumspinosum(Zones 4–7),Sileneuniflora(Zones 3–8 ) , a genus Dianthus of some sort ( perhapsDianthusdeltoides , Zones 3–8 ) , andAnthyllisvulneraria(Zones 4–9 ) .
Alliumcristophii(Zones 4–8 )

Wallflower ( Erysimumsp . , Zones 5–8 ) is a beautiful flora that commonly has wonderfullyfragrantblooms .
The delicate pink flowers ofDianthuscapitatus(Zones 4–7 ) are produced on the tops of magniloquent fore .
