My first attack at bacon was a moderate success , so breakfast was produce with all home - raised ingredients !
Farm eggs , pickled homegrown daikon radish plant , mizuna greens sautéed in lard from our pigs , as well as bacon from our pigs :
The red-hot sauce on the second plate ( my plate ) was also made from homegrown raging peppers .

The only matter we did n’t develop was the turmeric powder I added to the daikon pickles , the Piper nigrum and garlic pulverization I put on the eggs and the seasonings in the bacon .
That means 99.9 % of this repast was home base - raised .
What a approval !

We hope to leaven some chickens in the spring so we can be even more self - sufficient on meat production . Thanks to our pig , we no longer have to buy any preparation oil . And thanks to the cows , we do n’t have to corrupt any milk .
Here ’s breakfast from a few days ago :
Farm bollock with mustard greens from the garden , homemade hot sauce , fried yams ( also ours ) and homemade cheese from our own sore moo-cow ’s Milk River .

Right now , we ’re also setting up the give garden so we have tons of production in 2024 .
We build up the bed and add manure , lime and other amendments early on , so we ’re quick to turn when the weather warm up .
What a blessing it is to run through homegrown intellectual nourishment . I wish more people would turn away from factory food and embrace produce good things in the soil . No hormones or injections , no GMOS , no pesticides … just true , real food .

Here ’s what we had for dinner the other Nox :
nursing home - bring up porkchop .
Last Nox we had steamed mustard and pok choi super acid with sesame oil colour and vinegar , with rice ( not ours ! ) and a smoked porc joint ( ours ) .

Hard to beat !
